County Wicklow is a small county on the east coast of Ireland, named after the town of Wicklow, and known as the ‘Garden of Ireland’. It is surrounded by Wexford (to the south), Carlow, Kildare and Dublin to the north.
The Wicklow Mountain range is the largest such region in Ireland, with its highest peak, Lugnaquilla rising to 925m, and the area is hugely popular with tourists, attracted by the scenery and walking on offer, including the famous Wicklow Way walking trail. There are also many small lakes and some great fishing on offer.
